Calvert County Rotary Sponsor's

Oyster Restoration Project at Solomons Landing Scouts and Rotary Club members teamed up at Solomons Landing Marina for a multi-phase oyster restoration project aimed at improving local water quality. In Phase 1, Scouts marked the restoration site with bamboo stakes and recorded GPS coordinates. Phase 2 will involve depositing dry oyster shells to create a suitable substrate, and in Phase 3, spat-on-shell (baby oysters) will be planted to complete the restoration.

Calvert County Rotary donates dictionaries annually to every 4th grader in Calvert County public schools.

Thanks to Rotary International more than 500 people in the community of La Paz, Honduras are being supported with fresh water and sanitation. The Honduras Compassion partners were able to install latrines, provide safe water storage, and facilitate water filters to help the local La Paz community.
